Remarks & Reviews

There are many factors to consider when evaluating a board game. And using "War Of The Three Kingdoms" as an example, the game was highly enjoyable in its earlier, more balanced state with a group of veteran players. During that period, I would have rated it 9 to 10 out of 10. However, considering that the design of new characters has become increasingly uneven, with abilities/mechanics that are more and more lengthy and complex, it's also quite difficult to gather a group of experienced players to start a game. As a result, the desire to replay this game is not high, and the rating would decline significantly. Overall, The rating would depend on the specific version and players involved.
Moreover, the number of players is also important. For instance, some party games, like ITO, are not enjoyable with just two players but become much more lively and fun in a larger group setting.
Small box board games are highly portable, with a lightweight feel that invites more opportunities for replay.
Aesthetically-pleasing game tokens are also visually delightful, making one more inclined to collect them and bring them out to replay the game.
